I have a dbx DDP rack compressor/limiter and the Waves NPP compressor. I'm interested in finding out from another point of view, if one had a choice of the 2, which one would be better? I'm setting up to lay a few backup & adlib vocal tracks as well as main vocals too. :confused:

Hello all. I am planning on buying the MOTU 828mkII to use in conjucntion w/my Power Mac G4. I've been researching what platform to run it on. What do all of you veterans think of emagic's Logic 5 Platinum? I was considering going with the Pro Tools LE 002. After doing some research on this I found you could get the same Pro Tools software with lesser Pro Tools hardware for dirt cheap.

I know the hardware has some sort of governing factor in this senario. Does the software play any part in this? :confused:

Hi all, quick question for you: I'm looking for some CD sequencing software that will let me put seamless transtions between songs on a CD. For instance, I want the feedback at the end of track 2 to ring out into the intro of track 3 all while changing the CD track from 2 to 3 without any pops or skips.

I'm currently using Samplitude to record on my PC and am always looking to try out new software.

I'd like to find something that specifically has one feature: the ability to record at different speeds.

I use SONAR to record at 48kHz and 24 bits.

after i mix down i need to export the wav to cool edit to downsmaple to 44.1.

is there a better program for doing this? does wavelab do this?

have any of you tested the Fantom-S? I am disappointed that Roland stil does not have a keyboard with a lightpipe card and that poliphony is till the basic 64 notes.

Would you go for a software sampler like Gigastudio?
