I'm having a hell of a time trying to sell Cubase SX at what I think is a fair price.
I've listed it all over the place and no go. Can anyone offer opinions about what is considered a fair price( I'm thinking 50%)and suggest a site besides ebay where used software is sold?

I need a bit of advice on which mastering software to purchase. I have narrowed it done to WaveBurner Pro and Spark. Does anyone have any thoughts on either on one of these programs. I am running TDM Mix ++ with all of the trimmings.

Im new to recording and have limited equipment and funds, so if my method seems unorthodox, please forgive me. What I have been doing so far is recording through an analog mixer to a stand-alone 24 track hard disk (Mackie SDR). I track up to 22 tracks and then mix these while bouncing the stereo mix to the last 2 tracks.

Could anyone out there give me a heads up on Wave Burner Pro or anyother Digidesign compatible mastering solution. I am a heavy Logic Audio user so Wave Burner seems like an obvious choice.I have a full on TDM system with all of the trimings. I am less concerned with plugins then I am having a good sound user interface.

Well I'm confused... as soon as I have built my DAW, the questione comes: What should I upgrade?
This is my list:
Mobo Asus P4B533-V (upgrade BIOS?)
soundcard RME Hammerfall LE 9636 (upgrade drivers?)
Win XP-pro.. is there anything to upgrade?...( the DAW is not connected to internet )
And finally Cubase SX v.1.03 (upgrade or not?)

What sounds better:"The same sample of,lets say,
bass guitar played from EmuE4Platinum or played from Halion or GigaStudio on computer with Motu2408?
I know that there is differences between Emus and Akais samplers in alogorithm,but I wonder are the software samplers enough good in producing sound as they are hardware samplers.

i've just bought a very nice new P4 2,4 GH with 512 MB RAM and two HD's. One of 60 GB and one with an 8MB buffer of 80 GB. I plan on installing win XP Pro.
Now...will it affect the performance if i partition the drives?

I was given a Quadra 840AV that I would like to use as a two track recorder for recording practice sessions. My other Macs get used for MIDI and virtual synths. Where is the best place to find recording software for such an old machine. Is there anyone who has some System 7 stuff they want to sell?
