Sound card Cubase problem

I am not sure if anyone can help but i have been having a major problem running Cubase. When I open the application I can use it for about 2 minutes, but then my computer locks up. I am using sound blaster audigy platinum. I have read that this may not be the sound card to use for cubase. I am at my wits end. I tried everything I can think of. Can anyone help.

Final Soundcard Decision -- $1000 budget -- Specific Artist

specs:
Windows XP SP2
AMD 3500
1.2GB RAM (might double soon -- although past 2GB, I've read, on computer engineer forums, is generally pointless and will actually slow a system)
Soundblaster Audigy32 (old)
Priority of programs used (in following order): Fruity Loops 5 / Wavelab 5 / Reason / Cakewalk

Mac Soundcards - Who's Making a Reliable One for Live Shows?

Hi and thanks for your two bits.

In your opinion, who's making the best sound cards for Mac Laptops with minimal impact on the CPU? In terms of low latency and multiple outputs (8+), MIDI accuracy and good software drivers for OSX.3, what are your thoughts? What's most flexible for live application and most reliable?

please help: M-Audio Delta 410 PCI soundcard and Multi-track

Hi guys!
If you guys are familiar with the M-Audio Delta 410 PCI soundcard, please help me out.

As this card has only a pair of Signal Inputs (channel 1 & 2).

I need to separately record vocals on channel 1 and instruments on channel 2, for example. I don't know if it's going to work with Cubase SX or Adobe Audition or Magix Sequoia.
