Soundcard with balanaced output?
I'm now running a Samson C-control to switch between my M-Box 2 and Audiophile 2496 into my Tannoy Reveal 8Ds (and eventually another set of monitors). When I hook up the Audiophile to the C-control with the M-Box already plugged in, I get hissing noise. No other input hooked up, and I'm using balanced cables from M-Box to C-control and to the monitors.

Sound card choices
Hey, I posted the thread about how to took up my mics to my PC only to find my sound card is inadequate. So, I am looking for a new sound card!
I want to maintain good quality in listening to music and playing games in 5.1, however I also want to be able to record. I have narrowed it down to a few cards within my price range, but still am not sure.

pre-amp to soundcard newbie :) help appreciated!
Hey, I recently jumped into the recording scene after playing guitar for about 4 years. I was on a budget so I purchased the MXL 990/991 kit and M-audio buddy pre-amp. However, I am at a total loss with what cables I need and how to hook it up! I have tried other forums for help but they weren't very helpful. Here's the situation.
Record to tape? hard drive? and which sound card
I am sorry if this has already been a well used topic but I searched the forum and dont see the answer.
My question is;
-Whats the best sound card for a full blown studio (or what do they use)?
-can you still use a hard drive?
-Why do some use tape (other then for analog sound)

dual soundcards - help!
Hey everyone,
I use an audigy2 (pci) and an m-audio fw 410.
Here's what I'd like to do...
I would like to use the audigy for all playback and for midi, while using the m-audio only for audio recording.
How is this done?
I've been trying to, but I get lots of static in Sonar 6.
Thank you

Does this sound like an IRQ problem? Soundcard audio drops..
Hello everyone. Ever since I got my EMU 0404 PCI audio card, I cannot really multitask at all. This goes beyond complex multitasking. I cannot even listen to music or watch a video (with audio) while typing. As I am typing, the sound begins to click and pop, then eventually drop out.
PC sound card equalizer
Does anyone know of a free 10 (-ish) band PC EQ that will affect everything coming through my speakers? Does such a thing exist?
