This speaker is rated for 250W. . would I risk breaking it or the amp if I put it in a 50W Ampeg bass combo?

I have an Ampeg 12inch SS bass amp.

The speaker is shot.

Any suitable replacements for under 80 $USD?

I record using Sony sound forge on my laptop. At the moment I'm using a Behringer ultravoice mic pluged into the input of my ultragain pro then the output is going straight into my laptop mic in.
Im pretty sure that is wrong and the mic should be the output but i dont seem to have any way of doing that with the leads i have.

Does anyone want to list the symptoms of a blown speaker (or malfunctioning amp)? Obviously, distorted crackle may top the list for a speaker, but can they do other things? I have an active FOH speaker that suddenly decided to be much quieter than the other two. It is flown at around 20ft and not very accessible so it wasn't just turned down.

I have a pair of 100w practice PA speakers and they have two 1/4 mono inputs. I can only deduce that they are either, specifically for the provision of two different inputs or, one can be use to link (daisy chain) to another speaker or indeed, for either of those applications.

The speakers are driven by a 100w mixer and both mixer and speakers are 8ohm.

I would just like to get an opinion on how different sound engineers determine the correct height for the speakers when setting up in different venues?

When a system is EQ'd before an event and the levels are adjusted for each input, how do you compensate for changes in room dynamics further into the event i.e. more people filling the room and the temperature increasing?

Ive recently been wanting to build my own 212 cabinet, and fill it with some nice speakers that have a really crisp low end clean for recording. Ive researched a bit, and i really cant decide which of these i should roll with.
Does anyone have any opinions?

We have a community room in a apt. building that is 42x28. They have a need to play the tv in the room and also want 2 wireless microphones. My thought was a crown 180MC amp with 70 volt ceiling speakers. How many speakers, what kind is best. Any thoughts on microphones, my thought was AKG..Thanks for your help...Dan
