I have a Mackie mixer (profx12) and I have 4 QSC K12 speakers. I use these at my temple as our sound system. I have the mixer in the sound booth and the speakers outside the sound booth. I am running two XLR cables out of the booth from the mixer to the speakers. I use one XLR cable for two speakers.

what can you recommend?

MUST BE OUTDOOR-PROOF

Can speaker stands really make a difference to the sound you hear?

The system runs well, and all so if I go direct through the laptop mic out, all is good, but I try and get sound though the Alpha via the headphone out to my main speakers, nothing, just plays though the little laptop speakers. All OTHER system sounds etc play just fine via the Alpha - GREAT! NOT!

I have a small DAW in a spare bedroom. Im PC and run Sonar 5 (yeah, thats old), but its mostly for song creation and being able to play along with.
I've just recently retired from the "bar" scene as a guitarist, and have 4 PA speakers.

I have concerns about overpowering/under-powering my passive speakers during live church recordings. I have two large speakers that are powered by an external amplifier (these are passive speakers). There are NO settings on the speakers themselves. All you can do is plugin the audio cable.

It's a tale you've heard many a time before... my song sounds great (to me) in headphones, but thins out to hell on my monitors.

Hello, I'm new to your forums. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong spot, but..

My Yamaha hs50 monitors are producing a fuzz noise when my computer is on. The speakers are fine cuz they work when connected to my laptop through a pci express card. They are connected to a Focusrite saffire pro 24. The noise gets louder when i scroll up and down web pages. I have everything plugged into a conditioner.
