Tuning Toms
Wassup everyone? I've been tuning my drumset by ear and was wondering if there is a certain note to set each tom to for a nice death metal sound. I'm thinking of starting to use a digital tuner so the notes are right on. I have four toms, should I tune them going down by like 2 steps each or what? Also, does it make any difference how my guitar is tuned to go with it?

Jazz & rock drum tunings
Hey guys can you please let me know what the different tunings are for drums (typically) is.
Like for instance, I know a drummer who learned to play in band back in high school. His teacher taught them how to tune to a jazz kit set-up. But now adays he plays mostly metal, and he still uses the same drum tuning he has asways used.

Charging for Piano Tuning.
Does anyone here charge clients to get a studio piano tuned for a session? I have always seen this as a normal thing studios (especially low cost studios) do and have had other clients pay for it without compaint but I have been trading emails with a prospective client recently and she seems fairly put off that I am asking her to chip in 1/3 of the tuning cost for her session.

Drum Tuning for non Drummer
So, I have a drummer who is not good at tuning his kit. (this is the drummer in my band, not a client... just a home studio here)
I am great at tuning guitars and basses and wind instruments by ear, with tuning forks or electronically.
Is there anyone who could walk me through how I can tune this 3 pc kit?
