Help with USB/ASIO Recording
Forums
I am using a Ibanez bass and a Zoom B2.1u Pedal.
I have recorded in the past using output (headphones) which I direct to Microphone in on the computers soundcard. After recording, I use VSTs (Auto-Tune, AmpegSVX, GuitarRig, etc) to fine tune the sound.

USB or FireWire?
Forums
I'm trying to get decent latency with Guitar Rig 3. I'm kinda torn between the USB and FW interfaces. USB's seem to be cheaper but have more probs with the ASIO drivers. The FW's seem a tad more expensive but are stable. I just want to plug into my laptop and jam out in as close to realtime as possible.

On my old mac if I pluged my iPOD into the USB port on the keyboard, I would get a message that would say something like "not enough power to run device".

Firewire or USB hard drive for recording
Forums
Hi all. I've used Logic 7.0, with a PowerBook G4 1.33 Ghz (1.25 Gb RAM) for the past two+ years to do some simple recording, usually 1 - 2 tracks at a time, maybe a total of 10 -12 tracks when complete. I've used an external firewire hard drive (Lacie 7200 rpm, 250 Gb) with no problems. I've used both USB (Lexicon) and Firewire (Firepod) audio interfaces.

Best USB audio interface for classical Vocals?
Forums
I'm pretty new to this and would like some advice from those of you who have experience with external USB audio interface cards. I've been researching multiple devices and can't decide on a specific one. It would mainly be used for classical/operatic type vocals.
USB Mic into 1010LT/Pro Tools 7.3 M-Powered
Forums
I hope someone can help. I have a T.Bone 440 USB mic and I have tried everything to get it recognised in Pro Tools with a 1010LT card to no avail. I have tried ASIO4ALL which seemed to add it as an input, but I still couldn't see it in Pro Tools. It does sound very good for the money when used in a windows recording app, but I'd really like to use it as a direct input in Pro Tools.

USB Mic and Soundcard recomendations for Voice Recording
Forums
We are going to be recording software tutorials and so it will be voice only. The problem is that the pc's being used to record are small form factor with limited ability to add a sound card. So this brings us to the question, for voice recording is the internal sound card good enough or would a external USB type sound card worth looking into? Our type internal sound cards are:
