Vocal EQ - Sound Check

Hey, I'm using radio mics and a SM58 on a band and I was wondering the work flow people have for EQing vocals. I have a very limited time for soundcheck. How can I EQ different vocals to get the best sound? Atm I have a high pass on different vocalists filter to stop pops etc and clean up the sound. I sometimes eq the highest band as a de-esser.

Vocal Mix

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on mixing vocals: I have some very well produced karaoke tracks that I am trying to add vocals to. I want a very dry vocal sound but they seem to sound too close up and seperate from the music regardless of what I do (compress, limit, equalize, etc.) I even tried to use an exciter plugin to brighten the track up a bit to match the music.

any experience with a 60's era Shure Vocal Master?

howdy!
ok...so my friend's dad offered to give me his Shure Vocal master PA setup for free. .i've never heard of these, but i guess it was pretty common back in the old days. (i'm pretty sure it's discontinued). but anyway, i was checkin it out and it seems to be all tube and kinda looks more like an old guitar head than a PA.

Pro vocal at home

Hello all!

I have few questions about the equipment for vocal recording.

I'm going to produce music at home. All the musical part is software based, like FL and now I want to add good vocal recording to have a professional result when joining those together.

I was looking at M-audio Delta 1010LT sound card and M-audio Aries microphone.
