I don't believe DAE (Digi's Audio Engine) will recognize the 828.

PT LE comes w/ an interface. It is the only way you can get the program unless it is a pirate.

I see, I was mistaken in thinking they sold the software seperate from the interfaces. Wishful thinking :)
