Well I pulled the trigger last night on the Bay..
And landed a Ramsa WR-T820..
I remember Reading on here that someone said they were a nice hidden secret in console and could get the cheap..Well cheap was just what I got it for...

Very cool!

I almost got one of them a few years ago, but opted for a Tascam M520 for the same price - had to drive across the state to pick it up from a radio station, that was kinda a bummer - I had the flu.

I'd love to know what you think of it once you've had some time to get acquainted.

That could have been me....not that it matters.......

Yeah, these things are great boards and for the money you have to spend on one its a no-brainer. If you work in digital but want some warmth going in this ones yer huckleberry. It'll make a mackie sound like plastic....

One thing, the rotary pots can get sticky so clean it good...and just when things are going red on the ladders and pegged on the meters is where it starts sounding good.

Yeah Im pretty stoked about it... I will definately
report back with sound clips on hand ..
Ill do the same song twice Once with the " Plastic Makie"
and one with the Ramsa..

As far as price goes I think landing a deal like this
Is just about being patient.. Ive been looking for a good board for about a 1 1/2 yrs and in doing the research on this board, the prices on other site were atleast 4 to 5 times the amount I paid.. and I think that goes with anything you want to buy.. If you wait long enough
and not get the "Gas" a deal can be had....
Thanks guys....

Dave were you watching this also?

BTW anyone interested in a Mackie 1642 VLZ Pro?

With all this talk you guys are gonna end up driving up the price of these things and since they are old ppl will start labeling them as "Vintage" and no one will be able to afford one.

:)

Hehe...

I just picked up another one for myself - an 8 channel portable with 8 great mic pres (no phantom, so PERFECT for ribbons and dynamics!). Using this for a drum submixer is a no-brainer!
