I use Pro Tools Digi003 for recording. I have my monitors plugged into the rack of the Digi003. I don't want to listen to music out of my terrible computer speakers. I want to listen to it out of my monitors.
I have a computer that runs windows XP. I changed the playback device to the Digi003 in the sound and audio devices in the control panel. I don't see anywhere to change to some kind of auxillary output in itunes.
Anybody help please?

I have a similar problem - everything works fine when Cubase is routed through my Firestudio 26/26.
If anything other than Cubase is used for playback, it plays at a really slow rate. Seems like a clocking issue?
I'd like to be able to play CDs (or stuff in my iTunes) for reference, hear what other stuff sounds like on my monitoring system compared to my recorded stuff.
So far the only solution I've found is to plug into the Firestudio's inputs and monitor from there - but that means the CD/mp3 is being affected by the preamps.
I suppose I could get an external CD player and connect to the S/PDIF - but what about a mono output like an mp3 player?

VLC Media player is nice, though no guarantees anything but PT will work with the Digi.
