Has anybody had any experience with this dual channel pre? It's only $250 and i was thinking of using with a pair of rode's NT5s for overheads on the drums? Any suggestions?

I have seen a couple of comments on this on different forums and people generally say it's not great. I was recommended to go for the DMP3 instead of the TB202. I've not tried the TB202 personally but the DMP3 is the quietest and most transparent budget pre out there. I would guess that the DMP3 would be a much better option than the TB202 especially for overheads!

I've been looking at this box too, but I can't offer any practical experience with it. It is the only preamp that I've seen in this price range that includes a compression circuit with a proper Ratio Control.
FWIW, I asked for one for xmas...
