Why have you limited yourself to just those 2 mics? I have a pair of NT5s, and they are very "hit or miss" on anything metallic, especially cymbals and hi-hats. If you are on a budget, you'd be better off with a single better-quality mic than a pair of cheaper ones.
Check out the Shure SM81, the AKG C451, or AT4041...I have all of those, too, and they make a much s-m-o-o-t-h-e-r mic on cymbals, IMHO. They all work very well on all sorts of other acoustic instruments, too.

NT5 probably: more flexible, though you might need an extra mic
