If I remember correctly, they're like 4 ft. tall and like 2 ft. wide, square... most were in a pretty nice piece of furniture, so even if you don't like the sound of the reverb, it might make an excellent planter.

As for the $450 part... I dunno, it's up to you... that sounds high to me (I used to be able to pick them up for like $50-100 on a fairly regular basis... never really cared for the sound of the reverb all that much but I know some folks quite like it).

I own an AKG BX10 II which I bought new about 22 years ago. The list price then was $3,000 USD.

It's kind of a one-trick pony (BX10), but I think it kicks butt for a few things. It's one of my secret weapons.

I might pay $450 for the BX20, but nobody has accused me of being normal lately. Fletcher is most likely right that the price is high, see what you can negotiate. It's up to you if it's worth the dough for your arsenal. Like Fletcher says, YMMV.
