I use cakewalk homestudio with an audigy sbl 2, though that is kind of sad in itself I would like to know any of the advantages or dissadvantages of using this program?... ooooo here is another question. will cakewalk work with a multi input sound card e.i. the m-audio 10 input card? I mean will it split each track into individual tracks in cakewalk, so I can mix them individually. You don't know how old it's getting recording my acoustic and vocals and drums and not being able to seperate them, I mean I can just lay down an acoustic track and then sing over it but I lose some of my inspiration if I'm not strumming the guitar at the same time lol I don't know why, maybe I'm weird... anyways thanx for your time...

oh yeah I'm also a newbe if you couldn't tell by now and I'm wandering if there would be any professional engineers out there that wouldn't mind listening to some of my acoustic stuff with just my vocals and give me some pointers on a few things, the only thing is that my music isn't copyrightd yet so, I've been a little bit hesitant to do such a thing this far... and I just don't have the time right now being a full time student...

ive been using sonar 3 with the same sound card you have for a while, i just recently upgraded to a maudio 1010 however... but it got me by for the time being... and isnt too bad, since it was what i started for the most part..

I recommend upgrading the soundcard though, to a 1010 or something along those lines.. i noticed there was signigicant noise and static at lower levels with the sb audigy card.. when i changed to the 1010 it was like night and day... :)

 8-) I think I will take your advice..... I've been researching the 1010LT PCI card and was wondering if the 96kHz will be obsolete any time soon? I thought that cds were at 44.1 so if this is true... how long do you think it will take for producers to start at anything higher? not that it really matters to me since I'm just an independant musician... it just got me thinking before I purchase this card... also other reviews of this card would be appriciated too... I read about 20 and they all seemed quite possitive (y) 8-) 8-) 8-) thanx
