I have Digital Performer 2.6 on an older Mac (7100 with 266 G3 accelerator) that was working perfectly with OS 8.6, but since I installed Norton Utilities 6 I have problems with the cursor disappearing after a few minutes of working.

This is the only program that this happens on, and I have to bring up my FreeMidi configuration to get the cursor back. ( It's real fun to try and click on the little midi icon without being able to see the arrow.)

HELP!

Try this:

Strip your extension set to Mac OS Base and the FreeMIDI extensions. See if it happens now.
One of Norton's little system monitors might be screwing things up. Just run Norton when you're using your machine for everyday stuff. Otherwise, lean and mean is the best way to go. Hope this helps.
