I'm fairly happy with it, but the high end doesn't have that special sauce I hear on other recordings. I don't just want to boost the whole thing at >2K. I welcome your feedback...

First you must have some nice high frequencies on the tracking level to get a good mix and master. if they are not clear and are cloudy from conversion, nothing will give you sweet highs.
As for boosting or cuting frequencies, it's often better to leave the last moves for the mastering engineer which has the listening environement, experience and gear to pull it off without degrading the audio.
Here's a 5 min master done with Ozone by amateur not a mastering engineer

I really liked this song: It reminded me very much of a Canadian band named Sloan and a couple of their songs that you might want to use as a mix reference for that sparkle!:
