If I don't have a Didgedesign (or M-Audio) interface, is there a way to hack Pro Tools LE (or even M-Powered) to tell it that the interface I have connected is Didgedesign (or M-Audio)? I have an E-MU 0404USB, and I'm on a Mac.

It's an awkward hack and most engineers are fully capable of performing the task. But, it definitely is possible.

It might take some time, but you simply need to walk into a local qualified dealer for Avid and ask your friendly salesman which interface is for you. They'll be glad to help you, and I'm sure will give you an awesome price.

If you aren't capable of walking, driving, or riding a bicycle to that dealer, there are many, many places online in which to order said qualified hardware.

The best part of this difficult task, that is highly regarded as a secret in the industry so be sure not to let many in on this, is that your local dealer and Avid will give you support if you have any issues.

Crazy, isn't it?!
