Folks,
I saw this question in the ZED R16 thread, but wasn't sure if someone answered it:
Can the ZED-R16 be used to mix and record a live show AND use the firewire audio to be routed through a DAW/ plugins for effects and back into the board (DAW=effect rack)?
I suppose at one point it comes down to the routing inside the software and the overall processing power of the system, right?

In purely routing terms you can do this, assuming the DAW you are using has the necessary capabilities. However, I would avoid doing it because of (1) risk of compromising the recording, and (2) uncertain delays in the PC effects processing path.
