I have a DM5 ...recording with an Ensonic ESQ1 (yeah I know - Ancient!) After putting together patches in a song, when the song gets to a new patch, the DM5 triggers to another drumset. anyone got any ideas? Can't use this thing if it gonna act like this.

My guess would be that the esq-1 and the DM5 are set to the same
My guess would be that the esq-1 and the DM5 are set to the same midi channel. If that's the case, then the patch change being sent out to the synth would also be recieved by the DM5 and executed.
Make sure they are both receiving on different midi channels.
