I've read all kinds of threads on the very acceptable nature of Nuendo for audio. But nobody ever talks about its midi capability or lack thereof? Their site talks of "virtual" midi instruments, but nothing of how the software will address a rack of midi gear?

I'm a Logic user and I'll admit that the audio side is somewhat weak for editing and such, or lets say difficult at times. Is it just that Logic is so much superior for midi that they don't want to expose this weakness in Neuendo until you own it?

Well, you have to look at it this way...Nuendo is an Audio Post product with "some" Midi features.
Logic is a Midi sequencer with "some" audio features. Cubase is a Midi sequencer with "some" audio features. Each software is designed for one specific area and only impliments one type of scenario better than the other.
Indeed the Midi side of Nuendo isnt the greatest, as of now, but I'm sure with the next release it will get better. Not positive about that but have some good indications it will be
