Has anyone test drove these yet? I'm looking to upgrade soon and a friend of mine just purchased a set from GC here in Northern Va about 3 weeks ago. The reason I have'nt bothered him on the performance thing yet is because he's in the middle of renovating his studio (as we speak) and he lives too far for me to get a chance to check them out. So my question is, is this a thumbs up or another corporate/business ploy aimed to get us to buy something we don't need? (By the way, they do look like they'll rock the control room)

No, not in the same clasroom. 2-3 grades behind. They seem to priced fair for what they are. If I was that close to getting some real good monitors and I could wait, I would rather wait and just get the real good stuff. If you can't wait or that is the absolute max of your budget, they would be ok. In that price range, they compete with the Mackie.

They are the best thing to come out of Event that I have ever heard. Can't imagine that I would or could pick anything cheaper in a full range monitor.
