Firewire solo

I just bought the m-audio product and I'm using it with cool edit pro. I'm using the mic input to mic my amp and it's only coming out of one speaker. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

somewhere, somehow you have a mono/stereo issue. the computer assumes your mic channel one is in fact channel 1/2 or the L side of a stereo pair, hence its monitoring it through the left hand speaker.
