I use GarageBand for my projects. I like it, it was free with my Mac, and I've had some great results. That being said it is a bit limited but some times it helps me to think outside the box.
To the point, Apple has launched iLife'08 and GarageBand has some new features. For example you can now automate your effects in the same way you could previously vary pan and volume. There is also a visual eq that lets you drag a curve to vary your sound and I think I saw an analyser in there also. All this said the virtual band set up looks a bit naff.
Anyway love to hear your thoughts.

But Apple is just now starting to alert Logic users about the new file format.
The install changes the filetype of the Apple Loops from .aif to .caf
Core Audio Format a 64bit container that supports multichannel audio.
It has already been implemented in the new version of Soundtrack Pro.
So If you have Logic7 installed don't install GB8, because Logic can't read .caf yet, or open GB8 songs.
I think a new version of Logic is right around the corner, to deal with compatibility issues.
