Hi, I'm a music tech student 1/4 way into my 1st year at college, i use a Line 6 Toneport UX2 for home recordings and i want to know how i can hook it up to my Behringer Eurodesk Model: MX 3282A 32 Chanal 8-Bus Mixer?

I know Behringer is not known for its quality, I'm just learning my sh*t and building up a studio!

I want to do it so i can somehow record from my mixer into toneport, onto Cubase SX3, send it back through toneport, back into the mixer and out of the mixer so i can mix vocals, bass, guitar and drums on the mixer and not on the computer!

Im basically wondering if i can have multi track recording through toneport because i don't have the money to buy a 24 chanal HD Recorder!

PLEASE HELP ME!

The Toneport does not have enough I/O channels to allow you to 'mix out of the box' through the Eurodesk.

It's yet another one of those "ehhhhh... Sell it on Guitar Center" recording boxes.

The best you can expect is to run the mixer's channels 1 and 2 direct via the subgroup outs or the inserts to the Toneport's line inputs, and route the Toneport's line outputs through 2 open channels on the Eurodesk (input / monitor setup), feeding the stereo outs which in turn will feed your amp / monitors.

Cheers dude, i can see im feckerd!

Ok, if i have any outboard FX like reverb or and external Graphic EQ and i put it in via the AUX can i put my mic into a chanal, put the aux for lets say reverb up and record through tape out from my mixer and it will ahve reverb from the external reverb unti on the track?

Also can i like recprd using say all the chanals and record onto one chanal through toneport via the tape out on the mixer??/

So i can put say 8 mics on a drum kit and record from the tape out on the mixer using a phono to mini jack leed into one of the 1/4'' chanals on the toneport??/

Thanks man

no, can i use all the chanals at once if i send the signal from all of them via the tape out?

I may aswell use all of the chansls because i can only have like 2 seperate chanals if i use toneport!

If i could afford £750 for a 24 chanal HD Recorder, i would use it!, but toneport is my only hop atm so yeh!

I want to know if i can lets say:

Have 8 mics into 8 chanal strips?
Add FX using outboard fx via the AUX (ie mix it before i record it!)?
and send all 8 signals into one signal out og the tape out into cubase and out through tone port?
