Howdy Denizens of the Audio Netherworld,
Yep, I'm gonna hafta rant again cuz I feel the pressure burning...
I have this deep suspicion, this deepening, darkening suspicion we are about to have our intelligence insulted (again). I suspect that Performer Modelling software is on the way. Now, with the click of a button we will be able to make the most inept guitarist sound like Eddie Van Halen or Eric Clapton (depending on which preset we choose)!
Or at least that's what the hype will tell us. In reality the program will make everything sound cheap and plastic-like, money will be parted from the unsuspecting, and life will go on as did before with nary a head-scratchin' person saying a public word about the blasted lousiness of it all. Yet another doomful deed will have been enacted upon the audio world.
But what they don't know is that we here at the RO pluginsForum will be laying in wait for them, ready to spring a fearsome down-dressing on the purveyors of wickedness and poor software. Let 'em come I say. We will be ready. Doc

Well my question is who would want to sound like these people? Eddie's playing went out of style and Clapton just bores me nowadays. Actually the sound I desire is one of these boxes plugged into a few Marshall stacks and lit on fire. We'll have to try that out when they come out with it.

I am hoping it will make me sound like *ME*, only 20 years ago when my fingers were younger, faster, and more responsive! Hehe...ahhh to have the experience I have now combined with the physical attributes of youth...

Maybe, I could program the software to sound like me 20 years from now . Save some time getting there.... :D
