Hi guys I’m a first time poster, long time reader of this forum. I’ve seen this done on here before where people ask for their mixes to be critiqued and thought it would be beneficial to get some outside opinions on my mix. So please don’t hold back, let me know what I’m doing wrong, I won’t get offended. A little info on the track: This song is one of three songs that my band, Chrysanthemum, is trying to get ready to send off for demo inspection by labels and we just wanted to make it as good as possible before we send it off. The entire song was recorded in our basement so it is not the best quality but it is what we had to work with. The only thing that is not in the mix yet is an ocean synth that will play at the very start of the song and to smooth out the rough levels of the toms and cymbals during the outro. So if you could just give it a listen and tell me what you think. The song is copyright 2007, thanks

try backing off the low end a bit, and adding a bit more attack to it
it'll cut through the mix a little better, and let the Bass Guitar shine a bit more

Hi there, i like your song. I'm not really in a position to critique it myself(as i'm no expert) but i did have a question for you. I'd like to do a similar thing, and have signed up with yousendit.com.
