Someone please help... I just recently bought the MBox from digidesign, and I have been messin with recording and mixing. I am wanting to "bounce to disk" to burn to a audio CD and see how it sounds on my stereo. The directions in the manual say to make sure you select .wav, 16 bit, and 44.1 khz...which I do. and the bounce all goes fine. But when I try to play it on my home system. NADA! No music?

Could someone please help? :x

PROTOOLS LE---XP

I AM AN LE-XP USER ALSO. I AM NOT SITTING IN FRONT OF MY SETUP RIGHT NOW BUT I THINK I CAN HELP. WHEN YOU DO YOUR BOUNCE TO DISC,MAKE SURE THE SELECT STEREO INTERLEAVED.ONCE THE BOUNCE COMPLETES GO TO THE AUDIO FOLDER FOR THAT SONG AND LOCATE THE ONE TITLED "MIX".AS YOU SHOULD KNOW YOU YOU CAN'T BURN DIRECTLY FROM PROTOOLS LE.YOU NEED SOME OTHER BURNING SOFTWARE.MAKE SURE YOU ARE BURNING AN AUDIO CD NOT A DATA.HOPE THIS HELPS.

Like Mark said, it's the filename you named it. I usually make a folder for each project named "MIXES" and I save all of my bounced mixes there, even if it's just a rough mix. It makes it a lot easier to find later on when you want to compare your progress.

Another thing you might want to do is to click the "convert during bounce" option. This takes slightly more processing power, but there have been many instances when "converting after bounce" where it just screws up for some reason and doesn't save the file right.
