While surfing the web on music shops, my eye felt on a Soundcraft Signature MTK22. A nice console, with limiters on the first 8 channels, sort of flipswitches between analoque inputs and usb inputs. The latter come from your DAW of choice, nice eq dual engine Lexicon FX's and so on. Of course 100mm faders, 4 subs and ready to rock for analog style mixing of smaller projects.
Needless to say I have GAS for this board as it is only round € 800,= right now.
Anyone here any expirience with this board? It would be convinient to replace my aging Focusrite Saffire pro 40 for this baby. The only thing concerning me is my deskspace for this beauty. .

I know the quality of the Behringer: we have a Midas M32 at work and a M32R. They are simular.I'll stick with my Focusrite for now, and do some looking around for the future.

I have no exoexperie with the board. I do like faders and I love eq on the way in. One thing I noticed is the limiter doesn't have any individual threshold or output settings, and i am not sure if the signal goes to USB / daw directly after the preamp/limiter section or if it's post fader.
What I'm getting at is that the limiter may be rendered useless for recording because the signal you send to the daw from it would be well above the -18dbfs that's the typical level you'd send to the daw/converter.
It would be useful for catching emergency overs.
I don't know that the overall quality of the pres pres be any better than what you have. Unless you gig regularly and would use this board I think there's better options.
I hate to say it but berringer has the best option for a mixer that integrates with the daw. It sends 32ch i/o via USB, and also has Dante, and other option cards available. It also has HUI control built in for all 32 motorized faders. And it's dsp is actully pretty good.
It's higher priced 1500-2000$ USD new, but might really be a better option in the long run. You could probably strike a deal on a used one.
If nothing else it seems to be the one to compare other options to as it's feature set is quite good, and the quality respectable. This is not a typical beeringer feature rich POS sounding unit. They did a good job on this board, and their Ethernet based personal headphone monitoring system.
