Howdy,
I'm not sure I've got the right section, so my apologies if I've posted in the wrong place.

Anyway, I've got a question about my DAW not working properly. Lately, upon either playback or recording, about 30 seconds to a minute into it, the sound will start to "break down" and sounds all distorted, until, alas, there's nothing but silence.

Anyone have any idea what's causing this?*whine* :p

Well, if the music suddenly goes south then one would have to wonder how you have things set up in terms of either clock or driver setup.

Unfortunately Edirol drivers are notorious for being crappy and giving customers a battle and a half.

I would highly recommend selling it and getting a better device.

Tell us if you have any digital signals connected to the audio card and whether they are clocked properly.

that's funny that you said that, because the previous situationt that I had to deal with(this is problem #3)was this odd, popping sound that would occur randomly on the waveform(I could hear it, until playback). Turn out, that THAT problem was solved by changing the "Clock Source" option in the Cubase control panel to "internal".

wtf??

Anyway, it's not that. Also, I've already fucked with the # and size of the buffers, no dice. I've changed the latency from "rapid" to anything lower, but no dice, AND this weekend, I rebooted the sound drivers, but it's still doing it.

Dagnabit!

So, if you haven't any other suggestions, technically, what other products could you recommend, commercially?
