Hiya Folks !
New to the site and will look over the forum over the next few weeks ..
However need suggestions and advice concerning an upgrade to my studio.
For about 4/5 years I've used a samson Servo Amp and a pair of JBL Control 1's for my monitoring needs. However the amp and/or monitors are getting shoddy in their overused old age !
I'm looking to get some active replacements ... pref abit larger then the C1's ... and something which will see me through the next 4/5 years.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have four pairs of JBL 4310/11/12's. Crown DC 300's but I've finally broken down and purchase a new pair of small KRK RP5's. I used them recently in another studio and like them almost as much as their V88's. OK, so it wasn't my first pair of self powered monitors. That honor goes to my 4 inch Fostex with the whopping 10 W amplifier built in.
I've really not been much impressed with their build quality however. I like their sound but not the build quality.

I use them as Surround monitors on my PTHD rig, and pull them to use on my PTLE system during critical mixes!!
