Hi boys and girls,
Hope you are all well !
Yet another video about Magix products...
This one will surely help to had some mojo to tracks or masters.
Let me know what you think !
Just before Covid, I invested an awful lot of money in a new touring flown PA - 12 boxes in total with amps and a new 32 channel Midas stage box, Midas FOH mixer and and extra X32 rack in the stage rack, and new track playout machine. A British Beach Boys tribute band - busy diary and lots of live recordings via all the kit - then Covid arrived before we even had a chance to use the new system. The playout was a necessity as we've been totally live for 20 years, but the band leader and founder has Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I was chatting to my son about the British really popular Police drama Line of Duty. I was interested as he's a Police Officer here. I expected him to moan about Police process mistakes, or the things they do, but no - his complaint was the interview recorders which are the latest type - solid state and when you hit the button they make the long loud tone, before they start recording. He says they don't do this - just a pip or two to indicate they have started.

Did covid kill recording studios ?
I did this video to open a discussion between us.
To hear from the viewers and anyone who can share how they feel and how they found their way through those ruff times..
I need a small board for my home studio, I'm not using microphones, just synths and outboard.
These are the basics:
8 auxes (the more the better, the GL 4000 has 10 and I love this!)
at least 4 groups
at least 20 channels
good metering is welcome
budget is 1500 Euro max
The GL4000 looks like the best option after looking at Ramsa, Soundcraft, Mackie and Midas.
I found it used from the original buyer, conditions are 10/10, it's just very heavy and big.
I have a fender jazzmaster that generates a lot of hum in the system. Have a Samson MDA1 direct box. Will this reduce the hum? I'm going into a ZED10FX mixer, into the GTR1 HiZ channel. If it will help, is there anything I should know about hooking it up? Thank you
i've been using audacity and other free programs to try and get speech from an audio recording i've legally taken ( my state is a one party record state) from my bedroom. i can make out some of the words but most of it i can`t understand. if anyone here knows where i can get a program to to where i can just hear the words being said i`d appreciate it or if someone here would like to try and get what the people are saying hmu and we`ll see what we can do.
I am using Pro Tools 12.8. was wondering if there is any way to create a click track to only run and then turn off after a few measures. I am recording with my friend who is playing drums while I am on guitar. We want to play our song live all the way through and want a nice click to begin with that ends after a few measures so that we can flow through the rest of the song. I am the guitarist and the engineer so I am unable to turn off the click. Thanks
