AKG C3000 - A forgotten about mic?
I got asked to compare a C3000 with a C414, and I dug mine out and put it next to a C414 - I've no idea why this mic, which is often available quite cheaply, isn't more popular. Easy to say once I'd done the test, but the one I have rarely gets an outing. I've even found another on sale second hand for silly money, so I've ordered it to make a pair!

Which mic for Double Bass?
I've done a review - but not a normal comparison, but how different mics work better in different positions for different tones and playing styles.

Looking for advice on SV-3800 DAT to PC transfers
The Panasonic SV-3800 has coax digital out, optical Out, AES XLR out and balanced analog XLR left and right outputs. We currently are able to use the analog outputs and bring them into our Soundcraft Ui24R.
Help setting up a (basic) home studio, that can still create great results?
My workspace up until now has been putting my laptop on my dresser drawer, an SM57 w/ boom arm, and a MCA SP1 condenser mic balanced within one of the dressers.
My aim is to set something up something cheap and basic, yet that can provide professional results.
I only really need to record voice, acoustic guitar, and plugged guitars (bass, electric guitar).
A suggestion for all those who want to become anchors
I have done a period of live, then there is something has been bothering me, is the live process of radio problems, my microphone is a very good brand, and bought not to six months, until later I changed a line, yes a microphone line, my live sound immediately rose several steps, and now I recommend it to you:
Pedal Steel Guitars - how ridiculously complicated they are, and tough to play!
I thought I'd do a video about why you should think very hard before buying a pedal steel - even if it's cheap.
Earbuds used by drummers live
I often see drummers wearing some sort of earbuds for live performances. I'm looking to use earbuds for monitoring my digital piano (just for live jams where there is no amp monitor).
Should I be OK with something like the Shure SE215-Dynamic-Microdriver-Earphones?

SM7B - Do they really need preamps for noise free recordings?
So many newcomers real about SM7Bs and the need for Cloudlifters or other preamps and get told yes, essential, or no, not needed. The trouble is you cannot say yes or no as a general rule.
