EV RE20 on drums
Forums
I dug out my old ( 1973/74) Electro-Voice RE20 this past weekend to record a drum kit with; in particular, using the RE on the kick; I guess I'd forgotten how great those old EV's sound on kick drum. It was pretty much "instant tone".

The more I listen to this guy the more I'm afraid of him. . . Weird isn't it.. I think I find him too intense... ;)
This vocal and mix...

Here is the track. It's hip hop...but it's radio edited. It's story song, not just "blah blah blah." Many of you have heard it already, in a less final mix.
It's not final now...I need a few more fresh listens. But if you hear something in the track that is off or could be better, I'm all ears. The hook is not added yet.

Please bash my mix

Hey guys, I've been working on this song for a few days but I can't get it to sound right. My little studio is not sound proofed and very reflective. Can you please listen to it and let me know what you think? The vocals are not in tune because it's just a guide

Front and rear speakers facing each other
Forums
I have come across a setup in a medium size House of Worship hall where two sets of stereo speakers are facing each other. The front two facing the congregation and the rear two facing forward from behind the congregation.
Is this likely to result in sound dead spots or is it acceptable if the speakers are phased correctly?
Thanks.
