Need card with multiple SPDIF inputs
For a special project I need to be able to find a card/box/thingie that will allow me to record from 4 S/PDIF outputs at the same time.
As in recording from 4 DAT players - with S/PDIF outputs - at the same time.
Any suggestions?
TIA

Mastering for Vinyl
Hello All,
I posted a huge response to a topic entitled "optomizing for vinyl" a few days ago. So far there has been no response. I wonder what the level of interest there is in our forum for info on cutting to vinyl. I've been cutting for 20 years & just love to cut. It's so physical. Something where you can see the music. Although I also feel like a blacksmith sometimes.

OS, W98SE, XP or 2K?
Well I'm back with a few questions.
I've searched on this forum about this topic, but it didn't make sense. If I read older postings you give the advice not to go for XP OS on your DAW... New postings says that XP is a great OS ( with the famous "Opus-tweaks")

MIDI Loopback
I recently left Cakewalk Sonar for Cubase SX and I am loving it; however, I have one regret. Cubase's sheet music interface is horrible. I love the interface that Sonar provides and wish that I could control Cubase with Sonar, i.e., use Sonar as a sequencer to control my software synths and samplers that are running as VST in Cubase. I have only one MIDI port on my system.

Cakewalk, Pro Tools, Cool edit...which to use?
If I want to simply record the audio (sequenced) from my Kurzweil workstation onto my Turtle Beach soundcard, and then add a vocal track, which program(s) would serve me best? I have Cakewalk pro 8, Cool edit pro 1.0, and the Pro-tools free download program. I am using a Joemeek VC3Q pre-amp and a V67 LD condenser for the vocal tracks.

ART - Pro MPA & Pro VLA
Any known consensus on these two units from Applied Research and Technologies? MPA is a 2 rackspace tube preamp. The VLA is a 2 rackspace tube compressor.
Ciao,
