Does anybody have any thoughts regarding the new ASUS P4PE motherboard that uses the new INTEL 845PE chip with support for DDR 333 memory?

I want to learn to build my own equipment ( parametric equalizers, limiters,c ompressors, etc.) I want to know if there any websites, magazines, books or societies that specialize in building cutting edge (experimental )mastering equipment. I'd like to build devices for myself that go beyond the specs of the established industry names .

What is the main difference between the MPX 100, MPX 200, MPX 500 and the MPX 1?

Would there be any negligible difference between mastering to a DAT machine as apposed to a home stereo CD-RW machine? Or if the CD-RW were the only medium a person had would it suffice? Strengths, weaknesses?

I get a hum from my SB Live 5.1 card that goes away when I unplug my Q10? But no hum from the Q10 alone. And no hum from the SB solo.
I've tried different connections and cables and nothing solves the problem.
This only when monitoring, which is all I use the SB for.
Any one run into this before?

Is it ok to plugin my rackrider and or surge protectors to a ups or should i only use the outlets provided on the ups itself?
