Hi gang,

When recording 2,3, or 4 point harmonies, do you use the same mic for each singer? Or do you go with different mics for each person to get a different tone?

I've had an M-Audio Delta 66 w/ Omni IO breakout box for around 10 years.
The Omni IO went crap, a couple weeks ago, and I just replaced it with a Focusrite Saffire Pro 14.
I did some recording (AudioTechnica AT4033SE), on the new Saffire, and I had to crank the pre-amp up a lot higher than I did on the Omni.

I have a demo track I'm using to build an arrangement of a song (all scratch) which shows lots of sibilance which I only really noticed when I stopped mixing on headphones and adjusted EQ to a less bass heavy mix (phone skewed to treble).

If a cable has only one ferrite, does it matter which end it's on?
Specifically, I'm referring to a FireWire cable connecting a computer and audio interface.
Theoretically, it would apply to any cable.
