I know that this is not the best system in the world, but I have monetary issues(read wife and kids) that I also have to deal with.

i am looking for a vocal mic preamp in the $400 to $800 range. i will be running a studio projects c1 mic through it.

right now iam thinking Focusrite voicemaster or Joemeek vc1Q. thanks

Has anyone tried/used/bought/sold the RODE NT4 stereo mic? I'm looking for a good mic to record choirs with, as well as mics for "ambience" in more pop live recordings.

Universal Audio has posted new drivers for the UAD-1 card. Version 2.0 (actually 2.01) of the drivers (dated March 2, 2002) are now available. (Nigel guitar amp sI'm nor the Pultec EQ are released yet, but promised soon)

Yea I'm a digital recording newbie anyway. The last time I recorded anything(1977) we hung two mikes by some wires from the roof into a small mixer and then into a 1 track stereo reel-2-reel. Did it sound good? No. Did it work? yes.

I have one of the Ultimate support Studio organizers...It works great. However, it keeps wanting to tip backwards. I have it rested against the wall...But I'd like to have it rest properly on all four legs. I don't want to rearrange everything(monitors, monitor, mixer etc)

Allen Heath MX14:4:2. I don't have any outboard
pres so.
Are the XDR's on the MAckie that good-I hate going direct out unbalanced.
So are Allen Heath pre good?
