Blue Yeti recording
Hello there... first time poster here!
I have a Blue Yeti X connected up via USB to my Dell laptop. I have also connected up my Sennheiser headphones to the Yeti.
The audio through the Yeti sounds amazing, however whenever I try to either record something (using Audacity) or go on a Zoom call, the quality is very poor.

Icon Qcon Pro X - new Firmware = must buy new overlays ?
I didn't know what to think about it at first..
I mean, I paid 1k for a controller and 6 month later (under warranty) I should pay to keep up with new firmwares..
Of course they say it's shipping cost .. and I tend to believe it since getting something from china in 2 weeks is pretty fast.
Here's a video about that :
Preamps for recording Godin & Taylor
Hi everyone, new to the forum!
I'm looking into buying a preamp that works well for recording both a Godin Multiac (just using the direct sound) and a Taylor 714ce. But for different reasons.
For the Godin, I'm looking for new colors. I want to have options for some bite, beef, or low end, as I play aggressive & syncopated riffs. I don't want it to sound like flamenco.

Trying to use my Active sub with active monitors
Hi all,
My power amp has blown, so I'll be getting some near gear, and was hoping to be able to use my sub in my new setup.
At the moment, it's
Audio interface (Which needs to be replaced as not working with Windows 10) ---> Power amp ----> Subwoofer (PSB Image subsonic 6) -> Tannoy reaveals PASSIVE monitors.

Has anyone seen this brand before? I came across them on instagram and wondered if anyone had any experience with one of their products. it seems reasonably priced for what they're offering.

Building a new recording studio, requesting advice.
Hello,
I finally decided to start building a soundproof studio, but I'm not sure what I want. I'm hoping this forum is a good place to get some insight.
1612 Tubes for vari-mu compressor
So I was so interested in the 1612 Tubes I got to play with... I started a hybrid design. The concept is a vari-mu style compressor using the 1612 as the front end after a Jensen XFMR. I am thinking of then running LA2 style buffer and driver amplifier into a Jensen output XFMR. But the side chain will be solid state and use either a LOG amp or a THAT audio engine..

Soundproofing wood shed... worth the effort and cost?
Hi folks! New to forum here. Before I begin, please know I've searched forums & threads far and wide on the topic of soundproofing sheds but just had some questions I've never seen fully answered, as well as having bought and read the Gervais build-your-own-studio book.
