Using a pre-made drum beats by Toontrack

Hey Guys, I've always had cocky shoulder when it came to using other peoples drum beats and said to myself if Im going to make a song I will use my own drum beat. But just recently I tired using a pre-made drum beat in ToonTrack for a starting block for my piece and it sounds so much better than anything I could come up with. I feel like it's cheap and it's not fair. But music is music right?

Noise floor vs. Noise floor when speaking

Hello,

Is there any reason why my noise floor would differ while speaking vs when just recording the tone of the room?

My recorded noise floor seems to be lower when speaking; -85 and higher when I just sample the "tone" of the room, it's at -60. Is that because my voice is blocking most of the noise floor?

Sorry if this question seems basic, total newbie at this.

Need cheap but good Audio Interface.

I just recently got an MXL 770 and got a crappy Phantom power box and then got a bad noise and looked around and I found out I need an audio interface to mess with the fain etc, but I don't want to spend $50+ if possible and def not 65+. Do you have any recommendations? Also whatever you recommend keep in mind I used an XLR to USB to hook into my computer.

Pro Tools won't load because AIR VST failure

Hi, I'm glad someone here might be able to help me. I just bought Pro Tools. It won't let me start the application until I activate my AIR plugin . I tried activating it and the activation number is already used it max number of times. I don't even want the plugin anymore. So, I already tried deactivating the plugin in my iLok manager and it won't let me deactivate it.

Thunderbolt 3 to PC - what PCIe card works best?

Wow, it took me a long time to get back on my feet but I am getting there.

I'm looking at the Apollo X8P to run on my faithful i7 which is still on W7. I will upgrade to W10. Hopefully I can use it.
Anyone know much about running Thunderbolt 3 on a PC? How to interface it best, what card. Maybe I can't even use my current PC box. Just starting research now. :)
