2 Mics 1 Source
OK, so I decided to break out the old Audix i5 today and use it in conjunction with my SM57. Is there a risk of phase cancellation, and how could I consciously avoid problems?

recording on PC with a condenser mic
I'm wanting to start doing some podcasting, and I have found an inexpensive condenser mic that I think would really work well. I'm wanting to know how to interface this mic with my PC. Don't I need some sort of preamplifier? How would I connect it to the soundcard input?

Dynamic Mic Placement
Hi, I was just wondering real quick, where should the dynamic mic be placed in relation to the mouth if you want it to pick up higher frequencies?

budget vocal microphones
Hi guys, I'm trying to record pop/rock/acoustic vocals and am looking for a condensor mic for around 100$ or lower. Which would produce a nice clean pop sound?
I was thinking about the AT2020, or maybe CAD Mic GXL2200 but also maybe the AKG Perception120?

Mic fright
This is even embarassing to write.
I am a harmonica player, and I play a lot with differant local bands.
A fan asked me if I would be interested in playing at a wedding "ceramony" probably for an hour or so, and do I have any CD's or demo's of my music so she could promote me.
I said no, however, I can put one togterher.

More gear advise - mics and interface - and more. . .
I am in a couple of bands. I do the sound. Rehearsals and jams are at my house. The main band is five-piece rock n roll. Right now there is only vocals through the mixing beard. All I have to record with is a laptop. Oh, and I have a Tascam 22-4 reel-to-reel that I may or may not use.
Best acoustic mic for a Firebox
I have tried using a Shure SM57 with my Firebox but the results are not that good, in fact, I think I get more of the sound I want from my Radioshack mic. I'm using a nylon string guitar and I'm trying to get as much tone from it as possible. It is a very loud guitar to play and I'm trying to preserve that loudness for the track.
Any ideas are welcome, thank you
