microphone for RAP
Would you consider an AT3035 to a RODE NTK a significant upgrade?
It would be mainly be used for hip hop /rap vocals. .
if you don't think so give an opinion to a better one?
all ears.

Grace Lunatec V3 converters and KEL HM-1 mics
I am considering the purchase of a Grace Lunatec V3 two channel preamp with A/D converter. I am currently using a Demeter preamp and the Grace would be a very different beast. I am using a TC Gold Channel (which I got for a great price) as my AD converter (24 bits, 48 Khz) and going to an M-box.
How to mic an upright piano?
I have a 1968 Sohner upright piano in pretty good shape. I am doing some recording with it and I have to mic the piano, something I have never done before. I have two MXL MXLV63M mics and one Shure SM58, recording into PT with the Digi002.

Building a mic library...HELP!
Hi All,
I have just about got my home studio to a stage where I can begin doing some good recording, but am still missing a vital link...mics.
I'm prob. going to get a couple of SM57s, but need some help with what other mics will go well, and are not too expensive. (I guess I am aiming at mainly band type recording but also small classical type ensembles as well)

Damaging Neumann KM184 Mics
Is it possible to damage a KM184 just by unscrewing the tip? I was searching for the serial number to register my mic, and then screwed it back together. Now the mic seems to be not working. Is this a fluke, or did I possibly damage it by unscrewing the tip? It was working fine before.
