Multitrack microphone "build-up"
So, if you use the same mic over and over to build up layers of sound, say, vocals, what can we do to prevent that "buildup" that occurs as the mic's particular eccentricities become emphasized?
Solving this problem would be a great boon to those of us who are very limited in our mic selection. I only have 3 mics, and only one of those is a pro mic, and it is an SM57!

Producer has only German web site:
Frequency sound (squealing) through mic output
The issue I am having is that my microphone setup is outputting a squealing noise. I can describe it as a high pitched, frequency sound, that changes pitch constantly, kind of as if you were to wave both of your hands frantically in front of a Theremin. I can hear the sound when recording using adobe audition or other audio recording software, as well as when using "Ventrilo", or Skype.
I like my new Blue Microphone Multipattern Reactor
Studio recording is always very important for the vocals. This is the key of one good track.
Head mic for church?
Our minister would like a head mic. We have wireless lavaliers, but he's a pretty active fella' and the lavalier often doesn't work real well for him. We have AT wireless gear. Would like to find a head mic that is fairly discrete (not the infomercial look), is easy on and off, and stays put without tape.

Which shotgun microphone for Zoom H4N/Tascam DR40?
Hello
After recommendations here and elsewhere, I think I'll go for the Zoom H4N or the Tascam DR40 to record lectures, conferences, and interviews.
I need an instrument mic.
I need a new multi-purpose mic to record my instruments. The most important application right now is recording my acoustic guitar, and also Micing my amp. I would also need to record my acoustic piano later, but that isn't a priority. And having a second vocal mic is always an advantage.
