Hey I'm a new electronic composer, i have barely an idea of what I'm doing. I wrote this track using fl studio, an fl studio stock synth, basic fl drums, and a nexus lead. I have no eq or any effect on anything and thats what i want to learn how to do.

I want to post links to some mixes here so you guys can tear them apart and give me some objective criticism on production/engineering. I'd just like to know what the best format/hosting site (hopefully free!) is to use. They all probably use some sort of lossy codec(?) but what is the preferred method that everyone can live with?

Not sure exactly what the correct term is, which is probably why I can't find an answer online, but does anyone know how to trim an extremely small part of an audio file? I've tried zooming in, changing the main counter to "min:sec", "bars:beats" and then "samples"...but still, it doesn't give me that much leeway with cropping.

I am opening a recording studio in lexington, ky and I just produced this cover song for an artist i'm working with named Elizabeth Buxton. I would really like some feedback on the technical aspect of the song. What it's lacking, what is wrong with it. anything constructive.

Please let me know about the biggest problems first, then I can deal with those and move to the niggly bits.

It's not been mastered, so it's a tad quiet, but I want to address the mix first before I send it out and expect them to fix things.

Trying to improve my mix presentation and separation. What should I do differently or improve upon?
