I was planning on buying a Akai MPD26 MIDI Controller and wanted to incorporate hip hop beats on top of my guitar rhythm that I record. What would be the best software that will allow me to have a diverse amount of hip hop sounds, but also allow me to record like I would normally? Thanks.

I am going through the book teaching myself how to record on logic... and Ive just approached something that is winding me up because what is happening is not what the book says should happen.

This has been debated many of times, but I would really like to know the opinions of the professionals on here.
Does a high-endoutboard compressor really sound better than a quality plugin ? Assuming you know what you're doing.
I'd also like to know the same for Limiters, gates, and reverb.

I'm gearing up for a music-festival type of thing at my church in a couple of weeks. We like to use a projector to show the song lyrics while the bands are performing. In the past, we've used Microsoft Powerpoint to make the lyrics look pretty. But that takes a lot of work ahead of time to paste the lyrics in and format every individual page.

Just bought T-Racks 3 Deluxe, it runs fine standalone but when i insert a single plugin on a Pro Tools Track some of the graphics
are missing.

The Ikmultimedia site FAQ says try setting graphics to 16 bit which i have done and if not try updating graphics driver which i will do, but if
i can see the graphics in stand alone mode why cant i see them in pro tools?

Pretty much how I do it but so far, not quite as successful at it lol: Only thing that's changed over the years with my process has been the gear.

I just found that in the trash of the company next door...
It seems to be a EELA series 200 audio mixer.
I don't have power supply but i found out that it was supposed to be+18/-18 and 48V for phantom powering...

Does anyone ever heard of this kind of mixer?
Any informations?
