I have Pro Tools 6.9 (big latency issues!) just checked out reason esentials, looks like a top daw for not much money and has line 6 stuff in there too for my guitars, I have a Korg Triton but considering buying either:

Oxygen 49 - 3rd Generation 49-Note USB Midi Keyboard or
Impulse 25 USB MIDI Controller Keyboard

I may have a chance to pick one up for a decent price and was wondering if they were any good. Any experience?

I am not sure where this problem really lays but lately a when recording some streaming music off the web with Wavelab there are dropouts occurring. Here is a waveform screenshot to give a better idea

Hey everyone this is a mix I'm working on for a client, just wanted to see everyone's thoughts on what could improve! Chain going in is Shure SM7B into PreSonus Studio Channel, recorded in Sonar X1 at 44.1/24 - bit audio.

So I am at my wits end about where a mix ends and the mastering process begins. What I would really like to know is, are there certain rules of thumb (i.e. Bass frequencies should not be any lower that 20hz) when creating a mix? Or is it that when creating a mix, one is not concerned with how certain aspects of the mix would sound on a normal soundsystem?
