Using the stop button as a way to preview reverb?

It seems that when I hit the stop button in Cubase, the track stops, but the reverb actually continues on momentarily, as if the stop function has no effect. What exactly is going on here, and is this an effective way to preview reverb by itself (since otherwise it is masked to a great degree by the music)?

Pre mastering bus compression for previewing?

I wanted to hear how my mix might sound after mastering, so I listened to it with a mastering plug in. I liked the sound. It was quite different than if I just turn the levels up.

I am curious, do mix engineers do any temporary pre mastering, to get a feel of how the song might sound after mastering?

Get a piece of Lava ... errr... Lawo ...

Hello Folks
I just want to bring to your attention that the Lawo plugin collection is on sale, atm...
The Lawo MC2 is a truly excellent console and the plugs are just from that desk.
If they perform like in this mixer it is almost a nobrainer. I will check out their demo plugs next week. You might want to have a listen, too...

BFD2 + Samplitude problem [noob in VSTs]

Hey guys, I just installed BFD2, to use in Samplitude, the install was ok, with all the updates, etc.

It works perfectly in standalone mode, but as a plugin -vst, despite it works, there is no sound. I can choose instruments etc, but there is no sound. I enabled the Midi button, tried to route them to the notes in Samplitude's piano roll, and nothing turned out.
