Question about panning
Forums
i have started reading The Mixing Engineer's Handbook and in chapter four i've found a problem which i don't understand it. Will write down the specific context maybe it'll be more clear to you. " So important elements like that i keep up in the middle or maybe like at 10:30 and 1:30" - DAvid Sussman about panning in dance music. What does he mean by 10:30 or 1:30 ?

Need advise on Reverbs
Forums
Hi
I am new here, and need some advise on reverbs that can reproduce large hall effects with very natural sound. What 2 channel reverb or sterio reverb on the market is best suited for this? I am still using the Yamaha REV 7, and just purchased two TC M350's which I don't care for, I still find the Rev 7 better and more natural.

Forums
I have received the duty of selling my father's Pro Tools rig, and I could use some help determining a reasonable price at which I can sell it for.. and what exactly I have. My dad had someone set it up for him, so he's providing little help to me :)

chanel strip with buzzing noise
Forums
A while ago I custom built some 2 channel modules from an AMEK Angela console (2 channel-strips into one metal enclosure with its own independent psu. As these channel-strips have no ballanced output I made one for each module by using a NE5534 opamp).

Hi guys, let me quickly explain the situation:
I have my drums triggered and I want to be able to switch the triggers on with one flick of a switch. This would include the Behringer Eurolive B215A P.A.

Gender-Bender VST plugin
Forums
I'm working on a project where I sing all the background vocal harmonies, but I want it to sound like 3 or 4 different people, not all me. I've tried some tricks - singing in goofy voices and at different angles and distances from the mic, but it's just not happening. So here's my question:

pro tools compatability?
Forums
Pardon the stupidity, but I've never dealt with Pro Tools!
Ok, so doing some research... right now I use Cubase...
It seems that to use Pro Tools, you have to have one of their interfaces. In other words my Tascam us1641 will not be recognized by Pro Tools. Is this correct?

Pro Tools...
Forums
Hi,
I am looking into learning to record in order to save money on recording studios (in the long run...). I have been looking at used M-Box's with Pro Tools (this is because i have files in the Pro Tools format from previous recording that i'd like to edit and re-record parts of).

Forums
Ok, so I am fairly new to recording an mixing. I'm using Logic 8 and an emu 0404usb interface. One thing that I have never been satisfied with is my bass tone. What is the best way to record bass? What's the best way to mix it? How do you guys record and mix bass? I'm playin/recording hard rock and metal type music.
