Bit Torrent Software
Forums
I was actually trying out as an easy way to send music to clients and perspective clients and I was pointed to a website that hosted the cracked versions of a large number of audio plugins/software. .I guess I am behind the times but why can't the industry stop it?
I guess that is where these fly by night places get their stuff.

Logic Pro & Aggregate Devices
Forums
Hello,
I'm currently Running Mac OS 10.3.9 with DP 4.0
MOTU 828, 896 and two Alesis AI-3 for 32 inputs/outputs
I want to switch over to Logic Pro
yet i'm fearful of upgrading to OS 10.4
the problem is concerning agregate devices
simply put: will logic pro supported multiple hardware devices regardless of what verison of OS X?

Too loud? My experiments with Limiters = square waves...
Forums
Here is a simple track I've been using to get familiar with my Limiter. Do you all think it's too loud? My average RMS is between -11 and -10 dB. To my unexperienced ears, I haven't lost too much of the dynamics, but tell me if this is fatiguing to you.
Here is a screen-shot of one of my bass drum hits (I think it is, at least...)
Recording Small Jazz Groups

Hi. I'm absolutely going nuts trying to decide on the next set of items to enhance my simple home studio for recording solo piano, piano trios and so on. I do mostly acoustic jazz and live group recording.
Current environment:
A lovely Steinway baby grand :)
A big room with high ceilings

Software Suggestions?
Forums
I have a stand alone unit and i am planning to upgrade to computer recording. Ive read that the first step is to figure out which software your going to associate yourself with. Now price is a bit of an issue, but if its nessacary than i can manage. What are your guys' suggestions?. By the way I'm leaning towards PC because i dont own a Mac and havent used one since like 4th grade. Thanks.

D112 vs Beta 52A
Forums
Which should I buy? I can save about 40 bones with the Shure...so I am leaning toward that if I'm not going to get a noticeable difference.

Line 6 Pod Live XT, direct and amped for recording
Forums
I found the Line 6 is good for heavy, straight ahead recording. It seems that building up in volume and feed back cannot be done with this pedal board unless you plug it into an amp and mic it. Players that use volume control and varied picking may have issues. It seems to defeat the direct recording that the POD was made for.
Tascam DP-01 import problems
Forums
I got this because I needed a simple platform to write for a few friends out of state. I have not had any success in importing .WAV files into the machine. I have followed all of the directions, and (forgive me for saying) went to the Guitar center (I.E.Retard center) and tried to get one of the underpaid and seldom laid to explain the process. They like always were clueless.
